404 Error on Activation

Downloaded the VX Ace Lite and installed on son's PC (windows 8.1). I keep getting a 404 error on remote server.  The specific error on the popup is: "The remote server returned an error404) Not Found."

There is a problem with Lite activation at the moment, Degica doesn't know how long it will take to fix it (they've been working on it for a few weeks, it isn't as easy as some might imagine)


At the moment the only solution is to use the (also free) steam version of Ace Lite because Steam has its own activation server

I appreciate the quick reply. So I am clear, using Steam, you are required to be online when working with the RPG Maker VX Ace Lite, correct?

no, you can use all RPG-Makers on offline-steam. You just need to be online to install them and choose "offline mode" when starting steam
