Wow...just wow. I think I know what my next paycheck(s) will be going to.

As for features I wish more games had? I'd like it if the optional content was truly optional. Too many games say the content is optional, but it turns out you have to do it, either for the proper ending or just to have a fighting chance at winning the next boss fight.

While I love a good level-grinding as much as the next person, I want more ways of gaining experience. I wish more console-type RPGs would take lessons from some MMOs and allow characters to get experience from quests as well. I would happily spend an extra hour of gameplay doing tasks rather than killing the same mob over and over and over and over and . . . you get my point. :)

Something I wish RPGs included in gameplay?

Customization in everything.

Not just characters, but I want to be able to adjust menus to just show the information I need or care about, so if there's an "auto" or "optimized" option for equipment I can adjust it so it knows what stats to focus on, so I can move skills into the most convenient locations so I can play and do battles while only half paying attention, etc..

Things I wish RPGs included into plot..

A full and rich history that is optional.

Like, a giant library with history on the area's politics, sciences, advancements in technology,l their crow growing practices, etc..

I want to know the full history of the world I'm exploring. Empires those rose and fell, religions and the influences, the laws, the cultures, the customs, I want to be able to explore a world that's completely different if I want to... Or if I don't want to I want to just be able to ignore it all for now and go on with the story.

But I just, really want there to be an entire world I can discover, whether it's through talking to the people or reading books. A complete fully functional world with history. How did life come about. What do people believe. How was magic discovered and how has it developed. Is magic the same in this area as it is in another? Did it branch out and if so when? Etc..

As I was telling someone, this is the best birthday ever! All of these packs are great, and the prices so reasonable, especially that Luna Engine XD

Edit: Whoops, forgot my entry. Well, the feature I would love the most is to be able to interact with interesting looking objects and NPCs. If you're going to immerse yourself in a new world of an RPG, why not inspire wonder and make it fun to explore and talk to people?

I really like games that have more of an organic and open feeling to them. You're walking along and next thing you know there is stuff you can do, or not do! Timed events, quest encounters pop up when walking around, some conversation you had with a minor character or even an NPC turned into an opportunity to enter their world, side quest, and dig deeper. I guess these are qualities I really, really enjoy about MMOs specifically.

Sure, there is point A to point B and you can go on ahead and plow through that but if one may choose to do so, I love opportunities to deviate, wander off, and get supplemental story and prizes. I kind of don't like being told what to do at all times and game play that is too linear is a major turn off. I'll eventually get back on to the main path but some of the things I love most about games are discovering and bringing together the intricate details and characterization of a place, person, event. I really appreciate that.

An RPG should make the player face the music.

Let me explain what I mean.

You can choose to do or not, a side quest. What usually happens in such a case? If you do the quest you get an item or something. If not you get nothing. That's it.

Now imagine this sidequest, giving you a secret karma plus or minus. Same should apply to dialogue choices, decisions made by the player.

That's not what I actually ask though...

HERE comes the REAL feature I ask for:

Whatever the player does, has consequences.

Some of them make the player miss something,

some others make the player win something,

all of them change the ending....

Some of them should be direct and obvious, some others should be seen in the late game.

Good intention should not be always treated well.

Example:

You help a hurt person, you heal the person and do good, instead of letting the person die.

That person can be a late game evil boss fight that can really make you sweat.

Saving this guy gives you a really BAD Karma bonus too (secret from player), because saving him, makes a massacre occur (since later on he does a village pillage) see what I mean? Good player intention but bad karma twist.

Overall the decisions must have consequences. That way, you can relate more with the character and actually feel you have impact in the flow of the game.

I was hoping for a great cressento at Mass Effect 3, but you all know they blew it...

Mass Effect was nearly what I crave for. But no game I know has so much impact on decisions.

If an RPG has such a depth (this needs a LOT of work though) then it can become awesome.

Great stuff you got there!

What I want to see featured: A plot focused on an internal struggle rather than an external one. What I mean is that the protagonist's problems don't originate from some evil entity threatening the safety of the world. Instead, the problem is inherent in the protagonist. Maybe the protagonist is a soldier in a war she doesn't believe in and the plot focuses on how she comes to address this issue. Or maybe the protagonist is an antihero and he struggles with the choices he makes to further a personal goal; one in which he knows will hurt other people.

Awesome release guys, as always, great job!

An interesting feature that more RPGs could have huh... a much more free battle system, similar to Dissidia Final Fantasy in the aspect that you can interact with the scenario by running on walls etc, but adding a mix with casual fighting games like Tekken or Soul Calibur. This would create very dynamic and challenging battles from which the player himself could learn best by mixing combos and skills to create his own...perhaps? =P

I find it interesting the idea of having full control over my characters moves and using them as stylishly as possible xD

An amazing set of packs!

I especially love the Inspirational music pack. There are some great pieces here.

As for a feature I'd like to see more often: the ability to talk to your fellow companions.

I mean, you can talk to every NPC in town who you'll never see again and you can't talk to your companions except when a cutscene starts.

There's always a lot of things that can be said to a party member, even just a banter system would be great for immersion and group cohesion.

Wow cool! That's a lot of packs! And Luna Engine is finally out, congratulations guys! Any chance we could get larger preview images for the Evil Castle pack? It's a bit too zoomed out to know what it is I'm looking at.

I'd like to see more party interaction in RPGs. I really liked how they did it in Star Ocean: Second Story, where when you go into town your party scatters and you can find them in town and talk to them and maybe even do a little side quest with them or for them. Where you'd find them would give insight to the characters. Doing things this way made me more attached to each character as an individual, helped me understand the main character better, and made those little side quests much more interesting.

Awesome! (like my name)

Entry:

Deeper npc conversations.  So sick of people in a town having crappy one-liners that never change no matter what is happening around them.  Heck, making npcs talk to each other and you being able to eavesdrop, or npc dialog changing based on time would be a big step up in terms of having npc's with meaningful dialog.

Those screenshots are exquisite. Fallen pillars and rubble too? Does the Evil Castle set have torture chamber pieces, out of curiosity? :) Anyway these are definitely must-buys!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
