Does the Evil Castle set have torture chamber pieces, out of curiosity?
Yes, it does have a few pieces. You can see them in the 3rd close-up screenshot. There's a hanging cage, spikewall, an iron maiden (that also doubles as a fancy standing coffin) and some large elements that can also be used as a trap (hanging spike ball and hanging axe head). :)

Resources look great everyone, Luna Engine custom gui looking gooy.

I would like to see enemies that level up. I don't like how enemies from the beginning of the game become useless as the game develops. "I got to go back to the first town for the story?", ok, but now I'm wasting time fighting enemies that a 3 year old could kill and it doesn't hold any value in items or exp.

EDIT: I understand the GUI part of the Luna Engine, but what are the scripts that it comes with?

I like it when your team are not the heroes or the villains. They are just sort of bystanders that get caught up in situations while doing things to get themselves out of the situation they aid the hero without really trying to. Not enough games put the main characters of the story as sort of the b-team. I think the b-team sort of cast feels more down to earth and real, while you hear of the exploits of the hero that just saved the city or defeated the evil dragon even though you were the guy who defeated the guy who set it loose on the town.

And I love all the stuffs released, so very pleased.

What is one feature you wish more RPGs incorporated into their gameplay/plot?

I wish that more RPG's tactfully placed characters, rather than random NPC's. I get that every town needs to be filled, but I also know that while not everyone can be the hero, everyone has a story.

I wish historical background events had impact in the behavior of the characters. A lot of RPGs are different from this world, and I want to see more of these differences, and how the world is shaped around them.

Cooking battles.

Hear me out: Suikoden 2's cooking battles had a lot of rough edges in implementation, but I meet few people who don't remember them fondly. The cooking battles in Suikoden 2 served a bunch of important purposes. They had their own plot that was fun because it took something way more seriously than most of us would but was also touching because of the stakes the characters put on it. Plus, it was fun to see what crazy dish combinations resulted from different ingredients. This gave the player room for creativity in a battle system that was totally orthogonal to their normal progress. But most of all, because the judges were drawn from the pool of party members in the main story, you could use the familiarity that you'd built through adventuring with them to try and tailor the food to their tastes. And in turn, when you were surprised by what foods they liked and disliked, it gave you some details of them as a person that never factored into the main story but made them feel more real. The cooking battles tested and fed back into your relationship with the other characters.

The cooking isn't the important part, I guess it could be macramé or something else. But we could stand to have more side minigames that are a total break from the normal game and give us insight into who our party members are as people.

I'd really like to see more RPGs that had their plot devices reflected in their battle systems. Xenoblade had a neat system where the protagonist's ability to see the future was reflected in the battle system, and it really made for a unique combat experience. So, I'd like to see more games that do interesting things like that with their combat.

(Though, it's hard to top that Cooking Battle answer. That's pretty amazing.)

A party relationship system, similar to the Social Link system used in Persona 3 and 4. Those cutscenes allowed for so much development for the characters. The best part was that the development also contributed to their use in battle. Characters would learn new moves for example.

I like to see NPC characters with a little bit of life to them, not just filler for towns. Also would like to see them moving between towns.

Good looking stuff in the resource packs.

Wow, all these new packs are amazing!

Hmm what is one feature which I wish more game would incorporate..

To be honest, I loved the 'private action' system Star Ocean had. Whenever you got to a town (sometimes it happened in a dungeon/field too, depending on whom you had with you) you had the option to split up and walk around alone. Which means that your partymembers were scattered around the town and sometimes there were private events in which you'd get to know your partymember(s) better. I think it's a really nice way to give some more depth/background story to characters and it also helps you - as a player - to understand their views, perosnality and motivations. I really felt connected to my partymembers. I think that was a very nice system that I wish more games would implement. The fact that it influenced the ending (it paid off to be friends with everyone) and it determined whom you could recruit, was a nice bonus as well.

First and foremost - open word. Too many games a linear and forces the player to go on a set path. Why can't you just venture off and do whatever instead of you must fight the next area and defeat the next boss. Where are all the sidequests or just doing whatever? Give me the ability to venture off and do whatever I like.

Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c

To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
