Hey dear RPG Fans, im fairly new to the RPG Maker VX Ace, but ive already done huge tutorials including a little test game.

Now i wanna start my first real Projekt, but ive a problem with the window resultion.

- Im using Yanfly's core engine btw, at 640x480 -

Everything is fine at maps etc., but..

1. There are black bars, when in battle. Is there a way to stretch the battleback to 640x480?

2. When random battle is going to start, the animation for that occurs 4 times: once in full on the upper left side, + pieces of it on right and lower sides. Can i adjust this into the middle of the screen OR is there a way to stretch the animation to 640x480?

Thanks for reading,

Kriegor.

A screenshot would be nice. ;)
But as far as I can read, you can simply rescale the Battlebacks from 544x416 up to 640x480. ;)
The same goes for Battle Transitions, Game Over and all the other pictures. :D (\s/)

Yep. RPG Maker won't upscale them.

Upscaling is really easy. You just need to use a picture editing program (although it is a pain in the ass if you have to do 50+ pictures).

Thank all of you for your answers so far!

Already thought about it, but just as you say: "it is a pain in the ass", especially when in comes to the animation of the battle initiation.

Thats a nice thing, exactly what i was looking for, BUT i dont know whether to use it or not, since ive to ask the creator for permission etc.

Also, this just fixes the problem with the battleback, but not with the animation of the initiation (sry, my english isnt the best, i think^^).

Still its nice to see, that there are ways to solve this without rescaling every pic yourself.

I think i just keep on working till more problems occur. If there is too much need of non-free scripts, i think ive to get into Ruby and write my own ones...

Thank you all,

Kriegor.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
