Is this the right forum to put this?

Is there some sort of converter that changes any MP3's to an 8-bit like sound?

Some of my things for a project require an 8-bit type sound, but all I have are normal songs..

To my knowledge, there is no way to convert a music file of any kind into an 8-bit track, you would have to manually create an 8-bit version of the song, or have someone make it for you.

There are a bunch of MIDI convertors all over the internet, give it a quick google. Audacity is the best free option out there. But what version of RPGMaker are you using? If you're using anything pre-MV you can convert songs to MIDI then place them in your game, if you are using MV you will have to convert the song to midi, then back to a file MV reads then put it in. Hope this helps!

A video to help you if you choose Audacity.

@Diretooth is correct.  In order to have 8-bit versions of music, you'd need to do it yourself or have someone else do it.  It's not an easy task to transcribe already made modern music into MIDI's without having the source music sheets.  Either way, that's your best bet.  While @LxCharon is on to something, it's not very viable since I've used this kind of software in the past and computer-assisted music transcribing from MP3 to MIDI is never even close to accurate.  Even if it sounds close enough, when you open the MIDI file in question, the thing will be a mess when trying to make it sound 8-bit.

Best bet is to do as Dire suggested.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
