A copyright question.

Hello, everyone!


I'm about to start a Dungeon & Dragons (tabletop) game with some friends, and we are thinking about recording the sessions to post on youtube.


So, I'm thinking about to use the RPG Maker assets to create the maps, and use them on the roll20. My question is, can I do that, or there's any copyrights issues that forbid it?


If it's allowed, I'll buy the RPG maker tool and the videos will not be monetized.

I guess that, if you won't make money on it and give credit for you mapping software, using a bought RPG Maker, no problem. E bem vindo ao fórum, fique à vontade e não esqueça de experimentar a linguiça.

According to the EULA, RPG Maker assets can be used to make RPG Maker games.  As you are not making an RPG Maker game and want to use the maps outside of RPG Maker, this would not be permitted.


@Pine Towers please only give responses on such serious matters if you know the answer for sure.  What people think should be okay, and what IS okay, are two different things.  Also - this is an English forum - please do not post in other languages.

While the RTP can't be used outside RM, you can use some of the shop resources if you get their non-RM licence, which is more expensive than the RM-only licence: Game Dev Fort


Other than that, I would suggest looking on opengameart.org
