I have a game in early development, called A Destiny Reborn. This is being developed by myself as of now until i finish the first map and then I will try to get some help from other. I would like to here your opinion on the plot and idea you can share with me. As a plot like this seem very hard to execute.

The Story

The myth:

A Long time ago, there exist nothing; no people, no monster and not even a sun, the universe at this time was called the void. The gods later  created the universe and filled it with life. The first of these people god created where called “Sedes”. These Sedes where gods reincarnation and they possess a magic known as “Original Magic”. This “Original magic” was only possess in female sedes, which are called seed that give up there life so that the world would be restored and that universe would never return to the void state.

Original Magic:

While itself is called magic, it is not magic; it is god life force given to female Sedes so that it may be use to restore the universe from it dying state.

The Present:

You are a young 11 years old boy who live in the village called Silver Petal Village. This village, hidden away from the outside world, hold the ancestry of those who possess the ability to use a special kind of magic known as "Original Magic". This "Original Magic" is supposed to be god life-force, only possess in female, known as "Seeds". These "Seeds" who give up their life so that the world can be reborn and that it may return to natural state is a myth or legend told around the village and that the elders say that the next "Seed" shall be picked again, as it only happen every 10,000 years. As the boy, named Eren living in this village, you don't really believe in this "Original Magic" and this "Seeds" stuff they teach you in class everyday but rather want travel past the gate of Silver Petal Village and become an adventurer who travel the land of Ryore and see and learn all kind of thing.

The elders of village has said it been 10,000 years since the world has gone through and world regeneration and that the next Seed will need to perform the rite again so that world may be regenerated once again.

Story Scenario: Few  way to go about this story.

(looking for more idea)

The myth is true and the world is starting to decay without anyone knowing, eventually Eren start to understand and he help the

the Seed restore the world.

There is no truth to the myth and that this was scheme plotted by elder from something more evil.

There is some truth to the myth and even the villager don't know everything about it

Character:

Eren Lackus
Age:11
Sex: Male
Born: Silver Petal Village
Description: A young stubborn boy, who denied all his ancestry to some stupid urban legend, who want to travel the world as adventurer but is forbidden from leaving the village due to monster and demon roaming around the world. While he is stubborn he also like to take charge and would protect anyone in need of help.

Luna Illia
Age:10
Sex: Female
Born: Silver Petal Village
Description: A girl who has strong belief for her ancestry, practice and study everyday so that she would become of use to the "Seeds" in their time of need. she is quite shy at time, and prefer to stay at home or at the village school studying. Her family is very close to the Lackus family.

Interesting story.

Your maps look nice and clean and that light overlay looks great, I want something similar for my maps.

Looks interesting, though you might consider placing the light overlay image on the outside maps only as opposed to all maps.

I recommend making your own fixed light images for indoor maps or use a script like Khas Lighting Script.

Otherwise everything looks pretty decent . :)

Story intrigues me as well.

(Edit: You may also consider making the inside maps a little smaller as they feel spacious and ever so slightly empty. Also, it's important that all the heights of the walls match. For example; your first screenshot has a wall that separates the rooms but looks odd because it should be one tile taller at the bottom. Same goes for the "outside wall" at the bottom of the same map.)

Solid Mapping skills. I truly enjoy what I see

Edit: I definitely agree with drassray though, the rooms might look more realistic either being ever-so-slightly smaller or more cluttered.

Thank, if you want something similar, I use Yami overlay mapping, and Yanfly Parallax Lock to setup when I parallax map

Thanks for the tip. I use a different light overlay in the inside map to show light coming through the map  windows as the village is hidden around high mountain  to give that evening look but I defiantly try khas lightning script. I like the size of the map inside, and don't really think it that big, i haven't added any event yet, so it empty. I look into fixing the wall size, thank for pointing that out.

Don't worry it look smaller when I start cluttering it with event and npc.  :D

I like your story and the way how you blended the lights in your map, but I also agree to the idea of drassray. Other than those, It's a great game if you continue to pursue it. :)

Thank, I working really hard on finishing up the demo for the game, so you all can give it a shot.

The story has been rewritten a bit, but the concept is still the same. I wont update the post until I am ready to released a demo.

Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD

Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
