why not just use the stats as designed? you seem to be arriving to a very similar place but it will be more work to track how strong things are.

getting access to higher multipliers (b.hp * 0.5) would be the same as getting higher attack stats but you'd have to write out each attack instead of just incrementing it.

Its not that it isnt doable its more of why would you spend your time doing it?

I don't really see the point in using mHP as part of a damage formula unless you're using a percentage of it to put a ceiling on how much damage can be done. And even, then I wouldn't advertise the skill within the game as using mHP in that way. But then again, I prefer simplicity.

The whole purpose of this post was to determine any viability in using your enemies HP outside of the niche style mechanics (such as FF Demi spell). From what we have seen from everyone's posts, there doesn't seem to be such a thing or if there is it would be to overly complicated to even include.

Spent a whole bunch of time today reworking the area in the video because someone said it was too illusory. So I reworked it so it changes less, moved the grass up to the same level as the player.... And found enough extra resources to make the grass moves when the player touches it. Also lots more water, because it looks amazing. I'll probably put up a short updated video later today.
