Hello there,

I have a few issues that need resolving.

First, I purchased the high fantasy bundle and I was wondering if there is anyway to default the passthrough settings on imported tile sets. It is a huge waste of time to have to manually reset these each time I use them. A friend does most of the mapping for our games and he flat out refuses to work with this set because of this. I agree that it is tedious but believe the quality of our current game would skyrocket with these graphics. Any help would be appreciated.

Secondly, is there any way outside of scripting that I could add another mana pool, or change the mp for some characters to Skill points? A script would be okay, it is just not ideal. I want some characters to use mp, other to use sp, and both to use tp. I need the sp to function like mp. I have diligently searched the web and come up empty on both of these points. Thanks in advance.

1) There is a script that allows you to store the passability settings for a tileset and transfer them to other people, but someone has to decide what is passable and what not first and enter that into the engine. Especially for the HF sets where you cannot fit everything into one tileset but have to use map-dependent tilesets, that setting has to be done by one developer for the game.

And that means that basically no, because then you could simply make the settings once in the game project and copy the project around, but someone from your team has to enter them for your other members.

2) No, that can only be done with scripts. However, there are several scripts to choose between on the master script list.

I'm not sure I entirely understand you on point one. We often work on the same computer, it is slow but we have a good time working on the game. So really, I don't have to transfer the passability settings so much as make sure that the program remembers the settings when you make a new tile set. If that particular script exists could you please point me to it?

On point two, do you have any recommendations? the only scripts I've found to do such a thing come with a lot of unwanted extras.

Thank you for the response.

You can either copy a complete tileset or you can make all settings manually.

What you cannot do is remember settings for a tilesheet - if you copy a tileset and then replace one tilesheets inside the copy, then you'll need to set all passabilities and all other data for that tilesheet again manually.

So if you're working on the same computer with the same project, that script won't help - it was designed to copy the settings for entire existing tilesets (NOT tilesheets) between different projects or computers, it can't do anything you couldn't do with strg-C/V yourself on one project.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
