First off, I'm pretty new to the forum. So I do apologize if this is placed in the wrong section. ^^.

Basically, I have a few questions about RPG maker VX.
You see, Christmas is coming up and I was going to purchase this for my girlfriend and I wanted to get the answer to a few questions before I actually bought it.
Now, she has a MacBook and I was wondering if RPG Maker VX could operate efficiently on her Mac.
Two, if it can in-fact run on her Mac would their be any complications with the games it makes? As in, will it run them properly?

Cheers, Happy holidays guys.

First off, both the editor and the games it makes need Windows to work, but you can use a windows emulator or a bootcamp-partition with windows to run them on MAC-Hardware. It's not optimum, but as I don't know of any similiar game making software on Mac you would have to do that anyway if you would want to develop games (without low-level-programming the engine) on the Mac.

And another thing: If you own VX and want her to be able to work together with you, then the VX might be a choice.

If you don't have a previous version but start fresh, then it would make more sense to buy the latest, VX Ace, instead of the older VX version.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
