A new rpg maker? Oh, I’m excited,
but also a bit reserved. Because I have many projects going in MV already that’ll probably take me years to finish at this pace. And unless this new engine is so awesome that it would allow me to easily port my projects with minimal compromising while offering new improvements I can’t easily get in MV, I might have to restrain myself...

P, for that new engine. If it has that? Well, then I’ll most likely jump at it and join that inevitable rat-race where everyone tries to be the first one to finish a game with those new assets. Hehe... (it always happens).
Well seriously though. Unless it’s complete crap, I’ll buy it. Or more likely, pre-order it even. If nothing else just to try it out and compare it to MV, or, so I can use it in the future. I’m too deep into the RM-swamp to quit now anyway, so I might as well jump onboard the next bandwagon Kadokawa throws at us... unless... it

I hope this new engine allows for more SV battler frames (if the dev want).
I hope this new engine allows the dev to choose screen resolution.
I hope this new enigma allows you to set your own tile size grid...
...and I hope this new engine allows us to use custom sized tile sheets.
...and, a ton of other stuff that we already have in Pixel Game Engine (from same company).
