It seems like a lot of us were quick to judgment. If the information disclosed is accurate, there have been a ton of improvements made to the engine that I can tell. Some that were definitely on my personal wishlist. Kinda seals the deal for me. I'll definitely be upgrading to MZ and probably never using MV again after I port my projects over.
Okay, just found a screenshot of the new generator and, if it's for reals, I am wowed! No more three of the same downed sprites, but three unique downed sprites (face down, sitting, and lying on back). I really hope it's for reals! New kiddy face parts look amazing too.
Oh! It also has an offset option, which, I assume, lets us move parts around in the generator.
I'm slightly disappointed that the MZ codebase still uses core.js, managers.js, objects.js, scenes.js, sprites.js and windows.js instead of core/Bitmap.js, core/Graphics.js, managers/AudioManager.js, managers/DataManager.js, etc...
