A question about Soulpour plugins

So I recently heard that with most of Soulpour777's plugins, he stole them from someone else and claimed them as his own. So, out of me being paranoid, I am wondering- did he himself write the Awakening Cut In plugin or is this a case of one of his plagiarized plugins? I don't want to use it in my RPG if it is plagiarized.

I haven't seen an example yet for myself even with some searching. I am shocked that he would do that being that he made 100's of tuts so you would at least assume he knows how to legitimately make plugins. If it's true all his work should be used with caution but I'd personally like to see an example with proof posted via this thread as searching for it has brought me nothing.

Ever since he had been banned from this forum, no one knows and no further investigation conducted afaik. Once he got his bad reputation, all we can do is just wondering "maybe, he stole another script again". And support for his work in this forum has been banned as well. So, we don't know and we don't care.

He was caught by the staff here stealing Mog's plug-ins. Since it was an internal affair, no proof will be posted. But yes, since he has stolen some work by others, all work should be suspect.

There was proof at one point but I believe because since it happened we’ve been through 2 forum software changes, it got unintentionally buried. It’s not been a cover up or anything like that.

And, as said, some of his work is likely legit. But there was enough evidence that some of it was copied and then sold, it’s up to you whether you take the gamble on using any of his stuff.

There was proof at one point but I believe because since it happened we’ve been through 2 forum software changes, it got unintentionally buried. It’s not been a cover up or anything like that.

The entire case was a mess, because updates on both websites made it difficult to proof whos script was first.
But when things finally got sorted out, soulpours behaviour made additional proof that he was the one who copied moghunters script - and several people who talked with him since then said he confirmed he copied moghunters script.

I still have the two files that had the valid dates for proof stored on a HDD (unfortunately the computer with that HDD is defective and I can't access the files without repairing it).

As for the question of wether another script by soulpour is original or not - that will always be difficult to say. He does know how to program, and some programming techniques are so basic that two people can write the same without ever copying. On the other hand some of his scripts are extremely similiar to other people's scripts (see comments above), and no one can know every script on the internet (especially in other languages) to compare.
So most people (especially those who cannot read program code) prefer to play it safe.

And in the case where the copy was proven, moghunter used an extremely strange data structure that was directly copied by soulpour. There is no way both could have come up with such a strange array independently of each other. Both scripts were identical up to the number of spaces and line breaks, soulpour only changed cosmetic parts while also adding a requirement that he had to be paid for commercial use of that script he copied from moghunter.

I may devote some time to that, as I'd prefer the original & updated code.

To whom it may concern, This is ****, the guy literally made loads of tutorials for the engine in a complete and ordered way that even newcomers and people who are only beginners could understand and build something. It was the platform for most inspiring plugin devs where they could stand get a foothold and and learn how to manage and use the engine. Something no one else had even bothered to think about trying, I mean all the accomplished programmers simply refuse to help unless, the requestee bows down before them and licks their feet. And now that he was “caught stealing” which is probably by some bull**** technicality the thing was blown up and by you guys who simply refuse to help, caused soul to remove all his tutorial videos. And ruin **** for all the new comers and because it doesn’t affect you all. I can see why you’re doing nothing about it you don’t care about the new comers, you don’t care about the people who would potentially make great games and or stories to be expressed through the engine no. All you idiots care about is spitting out new plugins. That’s not diversity. You’re simply making a template so everyone can make different variations of the same crap. You’ve killed the one thing that would persuade people to use the engine. You’ve killed the dreams of so many of us who were still learning,because you couldn’t be discreet you’ve destroyed one of the pillars of this community. So I hope you’re all happy when the walls start caving in and this community dies. I really hope you’re all happy with what you’ve done.

no, it was not a technicality.
he took one of moghunters scripts, changed absolutely nothing of the code (and that code had some very unique lines that were never used by anone else) but renamed every function to pretend he had written it, to the point of adding a section that people had to pay him (soulpour) for commercial use of that script originally written by moghunter.
When asked for an explanation he first refused to answer, just removed the stolen script. On further discussion he lied to us pretending that he had everything cleared with Moghunter but when we asked for proof of that claim he simply refused and vanished.

Listen, dude- I myself was a newcomer when I originally made this thread, so your whole spew about "turning away newcomers" is completely false. And those that who just started using the engine wouldn't even know about Soulpour unless they asked. Also I see newcomers on a daily basis and almost all of them continue to use it. Other tutorial videos exist out there you know- Yanfly, SumRndmDde, Echo, and Drifty just to name a few, so it isn't like he was the only one who made them. Finally, if Soulpour was innocent like you claim, why would he take down his plugins and videos? Because that is something only someone guilty who had been caught would do.

Now that that has been said, can a mod please close this thread- it has been more than a year since I last needed this thread and was able to get the same thing done with Mob's Ougi Animation plugin. I don't want this thread turning into a flame war.

Also keep in mind that soulpour tried to sell free plug-ins and scripts. That has been proven.
