Hi! Hello! It's lovely to have you reading my first topic.
I've been lurking here and there for a while and have picked up a lot of helpful tips and advice and I have been inspired by some absolutely amazing artwork & graphics & scripts some really awesome (that's not to say you're not awesome) people here have made.
I'm a mid-twenties Australian. I've fiddled around and played with this program since the 2000 release. I've always been a person with a lot of creative outlets - predominately writing -and always wanted to make a video game. After a decade of storyboarding, brainstorming, and good old fashioned procrastination I purchased VX Ace on a Steam sale and have been tinkering and experimenting to the point where I feel I'm comfortable undertaking a project that will be released to a larger audience (read: an audience that isn't my best mate or my *very patient* girlfriend).
I don't necessarily see game-making as something I want to try and pursue money out of. At this point I would say my main goal is to release a series based on the particular story/universe I've been building for a long, long time. While my focus on this series would be conveying the story and plot elements to the player I would like to have (reasonably) polished graphics/audio to accompany it.
That's it! Thanks for reading my wall of text!
