Now the reason this is in this part of the forums is because I do not know where else to put it, really.
I am working on a Three-Part Fishing Event system. Now what I mean by this is there are three variants of the fishing events I'm writing.
I have already written the "Basic" one. Now before I get too far into this post let me get to the point. I kind of need ideas/advice on how to increasingly make it a more complicated event. (I will be releasing a demo with all three system implemented, etc etc.)
Anyways, how the basic one works is:
You a 75% chance to successfully catch a fish. It then goes into a 1/3 chance of catching a Carp, Bass, or Catfish (of course this is editable for different fish for each zone, just need to chance the common event/add a new one).
I have an idea for the advanced one, but that could take me a few days to event, especially as I can;t put a whole lot of time in it.
The idea for the advanced one:
-There are levels. I'm going to say levels 1-60 (I'm not decided how high to go)
-For each tenth of level 1-10 11-20 ETC ETC you unlock 3 fish to be able to catch. However you still are able to catch the lower qualities of fish.
-You can only fish at a "hot zone" once, then have to wait a certain amount of time before it pops up again. (not exactly sure how I will do this but I'm sure theres a simple way)
-Your level reflects on the perfect you will be successful, to a point. (this one is a bit meh ATM)
-You gain experience based on the fish you catch, not based on being successful. (For example if you succeed you get say 10 experience, then based on the fish you get 1-10 extra experience.)
Okay so thats what I'm thinking for the advanced one. But I'm a bit lost on the medium one. Also if you ideas for the advanced one let me know too!
