A tool or plugin that displays event names in editor

Hello so as I've been doing my game something I've found frustrating is that in the EDITOR there is no visual display of a name for an event. I know that the names appear way down at the bottom, but nothing on the event it self. I have a lot of events that handle background stuff and I've taken to giving them all some graphic to differentiate the events, but would really like to be able to be able to just see a name.
To be clear I'm not asking for displaying event names in the game, I want to see them in the editor.

no plugin can change the editor.
there is a way to change the editor, but it requires reprogramming the code - there is a topic where someone does work on editor improvements, but only one person and its slow going.
you might ask there and wait several months...

I don't think there is anything like that yet for MV, but I do believe that feature (or a similar feature) exists natively in RMMZ.
