So I can't summerize this in the title but basically what I want to know is if its possible to halt one event's processing while another runs on a different map then pick up where it left off after the other event transfers back to that map?

I know this is possible with self-switches and all that but is there a way to do this without having to force the event to switch to a new page?

The issue I encountered was that the previous event continued to run ignoring the one on the new map which makes this hard to work with since I'm guessing a recent update patched something in the event reading code or something since before today(granted I haven't been working on my game in months but still) it would transfer to that map, run the autorun event, then transfer back and continue to run this one.

You can set a self switch as a condition branch like this:

You can also set switches that change according to the map and just put the related switch on the door/exit/entrance.

Sadly Fluffy's idea didn't work for me, I either executed it wrong or it just didn't work. That being said, I bypassed this issue by merely moving the second part of the event to the new map, added a transfer to the old map, and ran the event as normal while making sure the sprites were in place.

Bah, hate limitations like these but what can ya do? :95:

If you needed the event to kill itself, you could put "Erase Event" at the end or at the start the Condition Branch "True" portion. I'm not 100% what you're trying to do, but I'm glad you figured it out.
