I should have done this a long time ago -_-
I'm fairly new to the forums (joined last week), but not so new to RPG maker. I've been around since the beginning using every flavor of RPG maker. I started with 95 and have been battling RPG maker as an On again Off Again abusive girlfriend that, even though its not her fault-- I'd never leave.
I eventually went to school for programming and currently work for our city as a Software Analyst. ( We write small custom programs with very, very short notice) I owe a good portion of my life to RPG maker and its staff. I honestly don't think I'd be where I'm at in life without it.
On my off time, I specialized in C# / XAML and ASP.net MVC -- I also have been a mobile developer for three years working on applications for businesses including the city. I've explored mobile games on and off through out my life and have really only focused on it last year.
My Goals:
To me, Legacy is important. Honestly, If I pass away right now as I am typing this... who would remember me? Yeah sure friends and family, but that's pretty much it. I won't be remember for my accomplishments, because really -- the most I have is perfect attendance at work. I remember when I was a kid, my dad took us to K-mart and I saw Final Fantasy II (IV) on the SNES. I remember thinking omg, Dad pleaseee pleassse get me this game I read so much about it and <insert 91' Hype train reaction here>. I want that-- I wish that someday I create something so fantastic that someone on the other side of the glass mirror is going ape-s**t because they don't own a copy.
Assuming that I will reach my goal someday, I am hoping to bring others with me as well. I hope that everyone whom reads this including all of my friends, family, strangers I interact with and staff will achieve greatness someday. That and who knows, maybe if one of you get rich off one of your ideas and you remember your good 'ol pal that helped you get your CMS working just right.
I promise that I will
deliver helpful guides
Offer unbiased assistance
Guide new and old members through methodologies foreign to them
Share my knowledge with the community
Be proactive in its development.
So please, if you ever need help with anything -- do not be afraid to ask.
Here are some examples of projects I've worked on
Side View Battler, in RM2k ( side view didn't exist until 2k3)
CMS done in 2k3 (I had the writing expertise of a 8th grader at this time, so please ignore the dialog)
Oh and the lawsuit I'm going to get from the various companies I've ripped from.
Framework of a CBS in ACE
and now my latest work in MV
