Lol, nah, I was pretty happy. Just tried to keep a straight face for the picture. Everyone in town has been looking at Max (our dog). He draws a lot of attention.

My socks are rarely the same length or color. I just pick the first two socks I find. Nothing about these socks grasp my attention. XD

It's a style thing - do you wear black socks (and shoes) with light coloured trousers of that sort?

There was also a running joke a few years back about the English wearing socks (of any colour) with trousers like that, or with shorts.

Just a very minor thing.

Heh, I just slap on a random pair of socks. I sometimes wear white socks with black shoes too. People find that weird, but I never understood why.

Ah! I do recall that. I always thought that more of a formal thing though. Like if the whole outfit were black (like a suit) than yeah, white socks would be God awful. 

I don't think I ever let that bother me casually because I not only wear things like bright green socks but I also have an aversion to wearing a lot of the same color in the same outfit. Like, when my boyfriend wants to wear a brown sweater with brown pants and brown shoes I just kind of groan. Neutrals tend to mix well with each other if it's broken up enough.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who doesn't really care about colour coordination. I jump into something comfortable and practical, then I'm ready to go. No messing around with colour coordination - especially not underwear and socks. Even for a funeral I didn't wear matching socks.

I've never been one for looks and fashion, though. Apart from my Romantic Goth days, I've always worn what I feel comfortable in. I don't care how I appear to others.
