Super Orange Movement 1.0

Introduction
This scripts enables some new movement related features on your game:

Features
- Pixel Movement.
- Diagonal Movement,
- Change followers distance.

How to Use
Add the plugin in your game and check the params: you can configure the new size of the player's step, the followers distance and enable or disable several other details

Auto Avoid - Diagonally (Already included in the Full Script)

Please note: I abandoned this plugin, so I won't be adding new features to it. I probably won't fix bugs either, unless they are very simple.


That's because this plugin accumulated a lot of issues that aren't easy to fix and I have had very little time to work on them lately. When I get some free time again, I'll write a new pixel movement plugin.

I think your formatting for the parameters, help info, tool tips, or whatever are really messed up. I see a bunch of things like

Edit: Ok so I got the plugin by right clicking on the .js link and pushing save link as (I couldn't find any other way to download it) 

and that's what messed it all up. I then edited the .js file it downloaded and pasted the raw code in and it seems to look much better now. how do you properly download things off of github?

Like my edit said, I think the reason it was messed up is how I downloaded the plugin. I don't really know the proper way to download a file from github.

Try right clicking the "Raw" button and clicking on "Save As". It will then save with the right name (some plugins's params may not work if you rename them)

I will, but I still haven't decided on how I'm going to let the user configure the pixel collision. Check this thread.

I noticed I can't change the name of the js file or the plugin wont work. This doesn't happen with any other js I tested, at least yet.

Why does this happen? Am I doing wrong renaming plugins to organize them?

Fixed. It was an issue with a parameter that had no default value.

If you rename a plugin, it won't be able to find the value that you set for it's params.

Ooh I understand now. I was having trouble with another plugin with name changed. It kept looking for an audio file even though I changed it in the params. Than you.

Wait what did you fix? Wasn't it my fault?

Is it possible to use diagonal movement sprites for the 8-way direction of the character with this plugin?

i tested it and it looks fine. i really like the auto avoid obstacles addon too.

just 2 things: the speed of diagonal movement looks too fast. coud you halve it or give an option?

also i noticed that my characters animate weird, only using 2 animation frames instead of 3.

edit: now that i think about it, options to change the overall movement speed and animation speed would come in very handy and fitting with this script. what do you think?

Airships really, really don't work with this plugin. They won't land consistently, I got it to land where it shouldn't, and then I got a game lock when I tried to re-board. The standard ship was even worse.

Also, one part of the map caused my characters to take constant damage, even though there was nothing there to cause said damage. It was just an open, grassy field on the world map.

Ah, sorry, I forgot to test vehicles, I'll do that now!

The second error looks kind of weird... Can you make a small demo game with the issue so that I can test it here? (you can remove all rtp assets from the demo before sending it, so it doesn't get too big)

It should if you add his script after mine.

Man. A historic 130 year old church nearby had all of its windows broken out with bricks last night. Such a shame, it wasn't generic stained glass patterns either but had beautifully crafted murals depicting various parts of the gospels.
