Well... this is a frustrating problem. One of my charecters in the beginning of the game, has a second skill set. It's not showing up in battle... It shows up in the menu screen though. When i switch the ability that's in it to speacil, the ability will show up in battle. I tried even deleting the ability section thing and re-doing it, removing it and adding back to the charecter. nothing is working. help

I've moved this thread to RGSSx Script Support. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.

What do you mean, "has a second skill set"? How did you set it up? Are you using a script? Please provide a link to the script, and more info on how the second skillset is implemented. You're not giving us much to go on.

I assume you're talking about skills and skill types, because that's the only place where the "special" fits in default. If that is correct, please use the official terminology in your future topics, that will prevent confusion like Shaz'.
If the actor can use the skill outside battle but not in battle, then the skill's occasion is set to "only from Menu".

If the actor can't use the skill on either place but has the skill learned, then it's missing the skill type feature for that skill.

If the actor can use the skill from the menu AND the occasion is set to "Always", then it should appear in battle - as long as you're using the default engine.

The skill type can vanish from the battle only if either the actor doesn't have the skill type, doesn't have a skill of that type, or if a command manager script makes the skill type vanish - do you use any command manager script?

the actor can use the skill in battle...

it only shows up when i set the skill to "speacil" not to the other. I'm calling it "M. bow" for now, but the name is going to change. The other charecter's second skill type is showing up in battle, but not M. bow... even if i add other skills that can be used in battle, it still doesn't show up.

This is even one of the skills that makes battles with this charecter strategic, but that's useless information.

anyone else have/having this problem? how do i fix it?

Does the actor have the feature to use M.bow? I'm not talking about the skill, I'm talking about the skill type and its feature.

If you still have problems please post screenshots of the actor, the class and the skill in the configuration for "M. bow".

I'm guessing you're not using a custom script at all, so will move this over to VX Ace Support. If you DO have custom scripts added, please let us know, because everything being said here could go out the window if you are using a script that changes the default behaviour of the battle screen.

If it was the skill type, it wouldn't show up in the regular menu.

The instructions below tell you to use PrtScr, which will take a shot of your whole desktop. But Alt+PrtScr will give you just the active window, giving a smaller file and none of the other stuff that's irrelevant to us. So just use Alt+PrtScr instead.

How to take a Screenshot:

You've heard people say to take a screenshot, but how does one take a screenshot of their game? Simple, while the game is running, hit the Prt Scr button on your keyboard, which is located right next to your F12 key. If you're using a laptop, you might have to use the Fn key in combination with the Prt Scr key to get it to work.

Now that you've pressed the button, it's time to paste this screenshot into an image editing software. If you don't have anything fancy such as Adobe Photoshop, GIMP or Paint.NET, no worries; you can use MS Paint instead. Open up your image editing software, create a new file, and then hit ctrl+v on your keyboard, or simply right click on the screen and select paste. This should instantly paste the screenshot into your image editing software. You can go ahead and crop the image to suit your needs, or if you don't even know what that means, you can just upload it as it is.

Save the image as a PNG, or if you really need to, as a high quality JPG.

How to upload the image to the forums

Now that you have you have an image on your computer you'd like to show us, how can you get it to show up on the forums? Firstly, you need to find an image hosting site, photobucket.com or imageshack.us are popular ones. If you have another image uploading website, great - use that one! Either way, upload it to the site, and then get the direct link. Don't get the resized link, or the thumbnail link, but the direct URL. You'll know you have the direct URL if the URL ends with the file extension you saved your image in (which will hopefully be .png).

Once you have this direct URL to your image, simply use the IMG tags in your forum post and paste the URL in between them. If this image is big, please leave the image in spoiler tags.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
