Ability that makes floor

Hi,

Im kind of new here, and i would appreciate if i could get some ideas on how to make the following:

Like, i have one character that is an ice mage, and i want to have an ability by the name Ice block, 

this ability would make appear an ice floor tile to grant the palyer access to some areas otherwise unreachables.

do i need to make this with a script or can it be made by normal coding?

I've done something like this, but it's not easy, and your requirements may not be the same as mine.

With my game, if you had a certain actor in your party, water tiles on one particular map would turn to ice tiles immediately around the player.  As you walk, water turns to ice in front of you, and ice turns back to water behind you.

Is this the sort of thing you're talking about?  Or do you want it to change permanently?  Do you just want it in the immediately area of the player, or is there a set area that all needs to change at the same time?  Screenshots of your map in the editor, highlighting where this change needs to happen, would be helpful.

yes that is exactly what i want to do,

i dont want that the ice floor be permanent,

it would dissapear after leaving the area, i would like make the floor on the red squares
