I suggest the following.
Description of the Feature:
  • In the project creation window, add a CheckBox with the text "Add RTP to the project"
If Checked from CheckBox = true, then as well as now we create a project with copying RTP to the project folder.
If Checked from CheckBox = false, then we create the project as in RPG Maker VX Ace.
  • Here are some images of the feature I would like.

This feature is great because of the following:
  • Not everyone likes that the original project is about 1 GB in weight
  • When updating a remake, sometimes resources can be updated. And after the update, some resources have to be manually copied into the project folder. But if RTP is stored separately from the project as well as in VX Ace, then it will not be necessary to manually copy the resources to the project folder.
  • The developer himself can choose how he needs to develop the game. If he needs to change RTP for himself then he checks out, and if he does not need to change the standard resources, then he does not tick and the project creation system is the same as in VX Ace

Which editor version are you using?
Because in 1.1 or 1.2 there was the addition of the "remove unused resources" option to deployment, and that removes all those resources that are not needed from the game before deployment, bringing the size of a simple game down to 100 MB or lower depending on how much of those resources is really used.

And unfortunately the technique "RTP" (which stands for run time packaging) does not work the same way with HTML-based games, making such a request very difficult.

Something similar to this is already on our backlog, it just hasn't been done yet because the very nature of it is pretty..."first world problem" like and is low priority.

It's not about removing unused resources.
Do not confuse the game project and the finished game.
It's about creating a project: "File - New Project" with the ability not to copy the entire RTP from the folder NewData
Ie when the user creates a new project the ability to specify that RPG Maker MV does not copy the entire RTP from the NewData folder to the project folder.

Perhaps as a solution until this might get implemented, you could create a new project, remove all those assets manually and save it as a template. So when you want to start a new project, you can copy that project without the assets. I know it's not the same, it's just a thought since Liquidize says it's on their list, but will likely be a while.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
