About mixing plugins

Hello guys! 


I have a Question... :)  


it it´s possible to mix plugins?


maybe i put this in this way... it is possible?


because i have plugins from Yanfly, and i want to add plugins from MogHunter... and maybe from others scripters.


I know I have to name them in the credits of my game and put a link to their respective websites, but what I want to do is mix plugins, so i can put Yanfly´s plugins and also plugins from others scripters without ruining my game, This is possible?


The version of my RPGMMV is: 1.3.0 or 1.3

A lot of the plugin writers here will say whether their plugin is compatible with yanfly's plugins.  Those that do not say either way you will have to test in your project.  I suggest you make a throwaway(or backup) project so if a combination of plugins does mess up your game you won't lose all your hard work.

Everyone "mixes" plugins, but if you do, you're responsible for finding compatibility problems yourself.


We can help with that, and some people can write compatibility patches, but no one can make everything work magically for you. You'll have to do the large part of the bughunting yourself if something doesn't work together. After you found the cause, we can help with fixing it - but we can't see what happens on your computer for you.

Most work together. Myself I've been using Yanfly + Moghunter alot.


A compatibility issue has occured when using HP Gauges from Yanfly with Moghunter's Theatrhythm.


A small change in the Yanfly script - however - made it compatible (thx mog). Else there's still Mog's HP Gauges.


Sometimes, when plugins aren't compatible, changing the load order helps.

It's definitely possible; however, I would certainly recommend a less is more approach. 


Given the choice between ten plugins from only two different programmers, & ten plugins from five different programmers, I will always go with the former. From what I've seen of the community Yanfly & Moghunter seem to the big names as it were, so I would assume they are cognizant of what the other does on one level of another. That might not be the case with a collection of less experienced programmers who have only made a handful of plugins, having their plugins integrated into the same project.


It's entirely reasonable to assume that someone who made a handful of plugins for their respective project & then decided to share it with community, will have never even heard of other programmers who made plugins under similar circumstances. So the potential conflict between those two or more plugins won't even have occurred to them; & would have no way of knowing about it until someone brought it to there attention.

Then ofc there are certain programmers who are more than willing making their plugins compatible to others, so..


if you'd like to use a certain plugin, 1. make sure it's maintained, so.. if there are compatibility issues (or even bugs) you still can come back to speak with the programmer and he might patch it.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
