I wonder.

Why do we tell these stories?

I am sure, in this environment in this community, that I am not alone, when I say that I have an urge to tell something, to mostly faceless audience.

But what's the point? Do we need a reason? I often find myself sitting, pondering not the actual work and effort, but the very most important outcome of  it all.

I like making games, don't get me wrong. Some do it for the money. Money withholds a dozen reasons, good and bad, but I feel like everyone has a motive that extends beyond financial gain. Rich don't want the money, they always have motives that suite a psychological need, rather than just number on a bank account.

I wonder. The reason that we gamemakers do what we do must vary from person to person, between different individuals. Nevertheless, I never doubt my resolution. Creativity is key to a happy life, is what I believe.

Just pouring my soul out, don't mind me. I's got plenty o' thoughts,

Hmm I guess most Game Makers are of the Artistic Type who flourish on creating something. If you make a game, you put a lot of love into it, even in minor projects. It becomes a story dear to your heart, often inspired by other stories which you already loved. So I guess most people simply tell stories because it makes them happy to create something. Even if someone has Money as a motivation, he is probably still the creative type since creative people who wanna make money tend to go for writing, painting, music....

I think there are many different kind of Game Makers, but that the creative love is something that they probably all have in common^^

I'd like to think a lot of us get a similar feeling that others get when they hand make furniture, or make their own contraptions, etc. The act of doing something that we can actually interact with in some way, feels amazing. We interact with a lot of things in our life. So when we are the ones providing the interactive medium(even if it's just for our own use) it just makes us a part of it all from another angle.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...
