I wonder.
Why do we tell these stories?
I am sure, in this environment in this community, that I am not alone, when I say that I have an urge to tell something, to mostly faceless audience.
But what's the point? Do we need a reason? I often find myself sitting, pondering not the actual work and effort, but the very most important outcome of it all.
I like making games, don't get me wrong. Some do it for the money. Money withholds a dozen reasons, good and bad, but I feel like everyone has a motive that extends beyond financial gain. Rich don't want the money, they always have motives that suite a psychological need, rather than just number on a bank account.
I wonder. The reason that we gamemakers do what we do must vary from person to person, between different individuals. Nevertheless, I never doubt my resolution. Creativity is key to a happy life, is what I believe.
Just pouring my soul out, don't mind me. I's got plenty o' thoughts,
