Hey folksies--

I'm very, very new to RPG Maker, and have been totally overwhelmed by all the information available here and around the web in general. On the one hand, awesome community. On the other, lots and lots of ways to ham things up as a newcomer who has no idea of the rules and general guidelines to being a good community member. 

Basically, I'd like to know whatever you can tell me about expected etiquette and good form when making requests for help and eventually resources. So far I've gleaned that one must allllways give credit where it is due and I've read through the forum rules, but other than that I'm kinda afloat...

Any general advice for a noob such as myself?

Most of what you're looking for is probably noted in the forums' rules. Welcome to the community, and happy game making~

For requesting help you should always be specific. Don't be like "I want a system just like <insert obscure RPG title here>; how I make???"

Instead, explain in detail what exactly you want. If it's something from a game, post a screenshot or video that shows the mechanic you're talking about. If you're stuck on making an event, post a screenshot of your current event code so people can see what you're doing with it.
