Hello all, not sure where to ask this but I am wondering if there is a way to override the weapon animation display in battle with another IF the player equips an accessory to effect thier weapon....
Example: hero has been equipped with an iron long sword, and the proper note tags are input for displaying that particular sword, but the player puts a water gem in thier accessory slot which gives X stats and makes thier weapon a water blade.... This changing the image shown in battle when the hero attacks to the iron long sword with water. The effect would change on the animation depending on what element the gem the player equips keeping the tier weapon and damage but adding an element at the drop of a hat when ever they want.

Would I have to make the accessory run a common event which would in turn force equip a specific weapon copy?

If you check out the documentation for Weapon Animation, state has a higher priority than weapon.

So you can just attach a passive state to the accessory that has a weapon animation notetag, and that will override your weapon.

OH ok! i guess i didnt quite understand how it worked, so ok i will try and if i get it to work right ill request the thread to be closed, thank you!
