This is one huge step for RPG Maker! Congratz! I hope many people buy the ace boxes and notice how awesome RPG Maker is! BTW, when are they coming to Indonesia? xD

They're using USPS Priority Mail, so that should be around 4-5 weeks I think.

Fair enough :'(

Lol, but about the bonuses, will the unreleased ones be made available to us digital purchasers also?

Half tempted to get this as a Christmas gift for my brother and keep the second copy for myself. Free resources are almost making me do it....

At this time, it's intended to be a box copy exclusive.

Edit: I just want to clarify since I wasn't very clear. We're not going to be immediately releasing the resources on the store, but most likely will at a later date. For the time being, it will be exclusive to the box copies.

I must say i was super disappointed that this was the announcement as i thought it might have been the new rtp tileset however, boxed copies is still definitely an amazing feat. as Grem said it means it's gaining popularity inthe west. Not like i'll be able to get one on shelf considering it wont be available in Australia

Nobody ever said that. Maybe not right away, but it's my intention to span the retail market as much as possible, not that the copies are actually ready. :)

In the mean time, we're shipping internationally.

This is kinda irrelevant for like 70% of the community who already owns VXA right? Lol

Congratulations on your progress as a company, though. Means little to me unfortunately.

I'd really love a boxed copy of RM, but having already purchased the digital edition a month or two back, I don't quite feel like buying it a second time :(

If there were an option to pay, say, $20 or so, to 'upgrade' from digital to physical then I'd be all for it. Just don't include an activation code with it or whatever. The buy one get one is nice and all too, but I can't think of anyone I know that would put it to good use or even use it at all.

A very pretty box!

It's now a physical copy that can be put onto shelves in stores and reach a broader audience that way. It's exciting! Or you can just use it to rub your face against it to show how much you love RPG Maker.
Let's be honest tho. Some people (like myself) would still salivate & go bonkers if the thing was packaged in a used shoe box so long as it's a hold in your hand copy of VX Ace! Lol. ^_^

Quick question tho: Will Ace Lite interfere with the installation of this new physical copy of Ace? I already have Ace Lite & some programs out there can be quirky like that.

I'd want to know whose shoes were in it first.

I am no joke contemplating building a custom made wood and glass case to display mine in. Granted, I have more investment in this than most people. (But less than Nathanial. Seriously, the boxed copy thing was his baby, I had very little to do with it, the only thing I remember helping with was feedback on box design).

My gf was suggesting we get something to mount a copy for myself as a trophy of some sort. When I clicked the button to make the copy live, and moved this thread to a public forum, a small little tear rolled down my face. It's been a heck of a ride. I can't believe this day has come.

It's taken a long time, that's for sure, so revel in this moment!

And if you want to go international ...

Go for the Netherlands first.

>_>

<_<

No seriously, us Dutchies will love this program, and we'll love it even more if it's in English.

This is great indeed. :)

But since I don't have that much money to spare just to own VX Ace on a CD, I am fairly disappointed that I can't get the bonus materials another way.

Too bad it's not for RPG Maker XP... and this wasn't announced 6 years ago. ^_^

I think I've bought a total of 4 or 5 copies of RMXP to continue working on the same game because I keep losing the key and/or getting new computers and laptops.

But, that's like half an hour on the autobahn! qq (Okay, I may be exaggerating a bit..)

While I most likely won't buy a boxed version (I'd just need a proper CD-Case Boxart thingy.), I really dig the fact that a game engine will actually hit the shelves! Keep up the good work and continue spreading the boxed version. :p

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
