Hello!

What I'm trying to do is have the Galv's Magic Shards script only ever work on one actor.

I only intend to have my game's protagonist make any use of the magic shards, so it would be efficient if the actor selection screen was bypassed entirely, and only ever showed the magic shards scene for actor 1.

Is there a way to make this work? I've tried to examine other scripts that allow bypassing of actor selection (mostly scripts written for games with only one character) but I couldn't figure out how to apply it to this situation.

I know I could just never at any point unlock any shard spaces for any actors other than actor 1, so the shard menu will be unusable for them even though it can be accessed, but this seems so clumsy and unpolished. I would like to avoid that if possible.

Here is a link to the script in question:

Thanks in advance!

I found a satisfactory way around this!

I used two of Hime's scripts-- Equip Events and Scene Interpreter-- to call the Shards scene as a common event when a certain Accessory (representing the thingy that holds the shards) was equipped, then made it so only my protagonist could equip that item. It works perfectly!

Since I solved this myself this thread can be closed. Thank you!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
