Not sure if this was mentioned,but when I beat the first boss, I got a game over. :p

Reason being is because when you made a cutscene, you got rid of your entire party and it leaves only the hero. And the game registered him as dead, so it automatically gave me a game over. :p Think you may want to fix that. Ha ha.

This sample game is a good idea, it can show to people VX Ace's capacities and convince them to buy it! ;-)

Just : why can't we find it in "Sample Games & Additional Materials"? (sorry if you simply just hadn't had time to put it in for the moment ^^)

Great, I'm definitely going to dl this and try it out. somehow I missed it. I agree with Nemau, this and maybe Princess Princess should be added to the Sample Games section.

Crysalis is actually pretty fun game and it's an awesome showcase of Ace's capabilities.

Kudos on the creator, I'll be eagerly awaiting for Porcupine Princess... :lol:

I only checked out a little bit of the game, enough to write the write-up, and take some screenshots, but I was having a very good time.

I think I'll sit down and finish it up later tonight :)

I finished it the other day, was a whole lot of fun and I really enjoyed the creator's mapping.

I have to say this game was really good considering despite how short it was it was quite well balanced. BTW anyone find some of the references from other games especially a certain piece of equipment considering i've livestreamed this game today and a watcher of him noticed several more references than i did.

cool will have to do that because the mechanic of her sword intruiges me.

Im in Progress of making a game Which i Titled Anthology of Darkness: Book of Shadows. which is made simpler and at the same time more complicated with VXAce. Crysalis is teaching me a few things about Dialouge. the only thing i ever have trouble with is Class and Character Balancing so they dont die or own the enemies to quickly. maybe as i progress i will learn more.

On another note been playing chrysalis and cannot for the life of me find a way thru mount garda. must be having a dumb moment.

Crysalis was absolutely amazing.

Huge kudos for both story and execution.

All I have to say is Cha'ya! Oh my gosh, she was fantastic! Definately the best character in the game. I wish I could meet Cha'ya and save the world, lol!

Nah, you aren't having a dumb moment, that part is just not every well done. I found that to be one of the weakest parts of the game due to it being annoyingly frustrating and obtuse.

Hmm, well, maybe this is the classic FF1 NES/Dragon Warrior NES in me talking but I felt like it was actually one of the more fun parts in the game for me. Most of the "wrong paths" gave treasure chests and I just had a blast back tracking covering every little corner.

I guess if you're more focused on just getting from objective to objective it would be pretty frustrating, though. But I don't think BlindMatsura is having a dumb moment, it just takes a little bit of exploring~

I also might be thinking of the wrong area. The part I'm complaining about was the part with all the switches that controlled barriers. And the barriers and switches are set too far away from each other to be easily understandable, and it just involved constant backtracking to flip another switch and go back this direction and OH WAIT HAVEN'T I BEEN HERE BEFORE.

I think I'm talking about a different area than he was. My bad.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
