So I'm coming to the end of working out the scripting and events for my game and I need to cement in a tileset/art style for the overworld and characters. I have downloaded some modern/future tiles for ACE that match the RTP but I've also got all the DS resources.
I would like people's opinions on using RTP vs the DS resources for a game, this includes personal playing preferences and developer preferences. I have a few pros and cons I've worked out myself.

Now a response I don't care to hear [simply because it doesn't answer the question at hand] is:
"Well if you make everything from scratch that solves the problem right?"

ACE Resources
Pros
- Lots of resources to choose from
- Good community support/resources
- Realistic/Immersive feel
- Takes up a lot of time to edit things yourself
- Hard/time consuming to make custom tiles fit look
- "Oh geurd RTP = bad" stereotype
DS Resources
Pros
- Fairly easy to edit
- Fairly easy to create custom tiles
- Breaks the "Oh geurd RTP = bad" stereotype
- Cartoon/Classic feel
- I stand corrected: Moderate community support
- Severe lack of starting material
