Action Command Battle Script

While I am slowly and surely studying how to code in Ruby, I'm looking for a script that gives a action command battle systems similar to the Mario and Luigi games or at the very least, something VERY similar and/or close to it. It also has to be compatible with some of Victor Scripts' (mainly the Basic Module) and Yanfly's scripts, I'll list the scripts I am using below he images. The game I am using will run on this type of battle system, for those who aren't familiar with it, you press one of the key buttons at the right time and the attack deals extra damage. Likewise, if you fail it either misses or deals normal damage. The battle mechanics can also be used to defend and counter attack, timing the button press at the correct time can either let you evade the attack or send the attack back at the enemy. Missing the button for defending only results in you taking damage. As for when the buttons for action commands will appear, only for regular attacks, skills and when the enemy attacks. (Regarding if it is a plan dodge or a counter attack option is in there or counter attacking is guaranteed varies) I have found a few scripts similar to what I was looking for, but they are not compatible with the others I am using which leads to my main problem. Once again, it doesn't need to be exactly like the Mario and Luigi RPG games' action command system, just something close to it at the least if exact can't be reached.

I Don't really know if this is exactly the same,

but here it is Galv Timed Button Attack
I did try this, as it was the closest I could find. Sadly it conflicts with Victor's Scripts, and I can't find a way to get around it even with Victor's patch script to allow some of his scipts work with Yanfly's scripts, which this one NEEDS Yanfly's scripts. I tried using Yanfly's engine, but it places the actors off-screen and ruins the cooperation script. If there is a way around it, then I would love to use this script for sure. I just sadly can't due to it conflciting. :(

I think i could help you a little bit more (Though i'm not a scripter) if you can explain some things...

- What is Yanfly's engine? is that refer to the core engine or the battle engine?
- Can you show a screenshot of it? (the one that put the actors off-screen)

After seeing the screenshot, the only way (that i can think of) is to change the victor scripts

(Probably the animated battle & actor battler)

I think you could change it to TSBS (But you have to change the settings though...)

Here's the link TSBS (It's in indonesian though, but the script itself is already in english)

but if you don't want to change it, i'm sorry because i can't help you any further (as i'm not a scripter)

I think this could work, I'll try it later today. However, this does also sadly ruin the cooperation skills script I am using. The animated battlers I can either use this or Galv's, but I would like something for cooperation/tag team/two man skills. If this does work though, I'm possibly really close to getting a good solution, I'll just need a back-up plan for Victor's cooperation script.

as for the cooperation script, you can switch it to one by DoubleX

Thanks, now for the final question before I test all of this to confirm if it works. Can the side battle script accept character sheets as a temporarily test use or would I need to ask someone to make some?

OK, I tried but I keep getting errors that mainly reads:

Unidentified sequence key "k-hurt" for hurt phase.

I did look a bit at the scripts but am confused still. So far minus that error, this side battle view script works find, just hope I don't have to jump to using Galv's animated battlers script with this one right away for a proper test or this could take longing. (As I am currently not a scripter and am not a spriter)

But that error usually happens because you set up the sequence wrong.

Sorry for late response, this does help a bit. But from the looks of it, I might need someone to make Kaduki Battler sprites for me as I am still unsure how to make this work for normal character sets. I'm still going to attempt a test based on what I learned from this video, and will get back to you as soon as I do.

OK, it works, my only thing is figuring out how to animate the enemy sprites. I'm going to test the timed button next, but the other scripts do work.

EDIT: Now I get either a Sprite_Battler error or the Union Skill script bugs out and prevents skill use depending on where I place Galv's Timed Button Attack script.

EDIT2: And now when I try the defending part of the Timed Button Attacks, nothing shows up. Sorry, I'm getting confused.
