Hi everyone, im afraid this may be a silly question. In my game i would like there to be certain sections using the ARC engine, which is a sidescrolling script, but i want the main portion of the game to be the default control scheme. Is there a way to switch certain scripts off and on? thanks

No. You'll need to rework the two scripts to make them work together.

Doesn't seem to be true. My tests show that they work together just fine.
Using a default map works as expected and using the arc maps works fine.
The reason they can work together is that the maps for the ARC system have additional files generated by the physics editor to make that map an ARC map. If there are no files for the map number then the default system is used.

This can be done for some scripts, but I don't think you need to do this for the ARC system. Just only make files for the maps you want to use with the ARC system.

@Roninator2 When I saw the thread, I thought they were incompatible.

Im not quite sure what you mean? "only make files for the maps you want to use with the ARC system"

Each arc file corresponds to the map number.
You make a map that you want to be an ARC map. You run the game, open the editor, make your ARC design and save.
The ARC system will make a new file for that map.
For the map you do not want to use for the ARC system, do not load it and save. No file will be made. If you do make a map into the ARC system and decide to not use it later, deleting the file does not work. I have not found a way to remove the map from the ARC system once it is made.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
