Important Update:
With the transfer to a new DRM platform the majority of activation issues have been resolved.
If you are having issues, it is most likely because you are attempting to activate an older build.
Please download the latest trial version of your product and attempt to activate it using the information you were provided with.

Old Solutions:
Having troubles activating RPG Maker VX Ace, VX, XP, or IG Maker?
Please try the following.
What is your operating system? Is it 64-bit? Please be noted that officially RPG Maker XP/VX do not support 64-bit OS. That being said, many of our users are operating RPG Maker XP and VX on 64 bit OS with no issues.
Please check if your Windows is fully updated and all programs (including optional) related to Microsoft .NET Framework have been installed to your computer via Windows Update in the Control Panel.
If you have any firewall program such as Windows Firewall or other security software's firewall (e.g. Norton, McAfee, etc.), could you please disable it temporarily and retry the activation?
A router may have its own firewall feature, and it may be blocking the connection to the activation server. If you could change the settings, please allow connection to the following IP: 74.124.219.187 .
Important: Read This!
It is also possible that this may be a problem with your ISP. If possible, try activating using a different internet connection.
If you aren't able to do this, then one of our users Mako has come up with a rather ingenious solution which may work for you.
