    Introduction:
    Allows the developer to have voice clips or sound effects play in battle.

    Sceenshots:
    None needed.

    Features:
    • Gives your party the ability to predict the turnout of a battle and voice their opinions on it, so they can say that they need recovery if they are badly injured, or comment on how they are outnumbered, or comment about how strong they are compared to the enemy troop.
    • Gives you the ability to set up the above values if you don't like the defaults.
    • Actors have a death cry when they fall in battle.
    • NO demons from hell upon victory!
    How to Use:

    • Place the main plugin as well as the configuration plugin UNDER all other combat plugins.
    • Configuration plugin MUST go below main plugin.
    • Add an additional Folder in your audio files called Battle_voices. The path should look like this: (Project1\audio\se\Battle_Voices\Actor Name)
    • Folder names MUST match the actor's name in the database.(DO NOT use underscores in the folder name UNLESS your actor's name in the database has them in its name.)
    • Open the configuration plugin in your choice text editor.
    • Type in the names of your voice clips or sound effect files in the proper fields.(DO NOT INCLUDE the extension)
    • Ogg audio files only.

    Could you provide some visual examples of how to use the plugin?

    Nice, this is extremely straight forward.
    I took me all of 5 minutes to have my battlers telling each other where to go and how to get there xD

    Yeah, this plugin was one of those gems from the VX Ace era that just NEEDED to be converted to MV, I have yet to find a plugin that gives you as much customization as this one does in just about every aspect of combat for voice lines.^^

    I'll get back to you both on this after I've written up a few tutorials on the plugin. I guess since I've been in the game dev game so long I forgot that this kind of plugin is abit advanced for average MV users.

    Thank you, some people, such as myself, work best when there is some manner of physical reference, such as an image of the folder in question placed in the audio folder, or the file being used in-editor.
    This in particular is most confusing, as I cannot figure out what exactly you mean by opening the plugin via the choice editor. What this sounds like is going into an Event, going to 'Show Choices', and somehow accessing the plugin this way. Since the plugins themselves to not have a help file attached, or any parameters to alter, this makes it especially frustrating to use.

    Ah, so it's a case of uncertain terminology, okay. Thank you for your prompt response.

    In the configuration it says something about adding voices on specific skills through note tags but I can't find any instructions on how to do that. Is there a way to do that?

    @deathsia I agree with @Low here- what are the note tags to begin with?

    Here is the part of the config file that mentions it, just so you know:
    Code:

        //=============================================================================
        //    Battle Skills/Items Voices
        //-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
        // These are generic things that your actors will say when using an skill/item
        // in battle. You can use note tags on specific skills/items, this is
        // just for the more generic skill/items (meaning your actor will always say something).
        //=============================================================================

    Until we know the note tags, I'll only be able to use this as a supplement to Moghunter's Battle Cry plugin, which is a shame- I honestly thought this would be its replacement and be able use Moghunter's plugin only for enemies.

    tbh I'm not sure myself I never messed with specific voice lines for certain skills but I'll look into it, I know the plugin fairly well and I may be able to figure this out for you.

    Tall order; can I have an actor have different voice based on switch on/off? For gender selection.

    I believe this is actually possible with a switch in the plugin that changes which folders are used when on or off but its a "one or the other" switch so its a little limited.

    Oops, No this is not possible in the plugin version. I was in the VX Ace version but I didn't realize this feature was removed when the person I commissioned converted this to MV plugin format.

    What you could do is have a different actor so that you can have a separate folder.

    Yeah uh, that'd be way too complicated and impossible to do at this point. The switch functionality was literally the thing that I needed.

    Can't do much i'm afraid, I'm just the gal who commissioned this, not the one who converted it or made the original.

    Taking a look at it, Fogomax has indeed implemented the code to get this to work.
    The notetag you need to enter in order for it to work is:

    ~ActorVoice: actor_id, "voice filename", volume, pitch, wait frames

    For example:
    ~ActorVoice: 1, "Death Cry1", 100, 90, 50

    By the way, I am unsure as to what Deathsia/Fogomax thinks in regards to using this script in a commercial project. But just in case they have asked for it not to be used in a commercial project because it's a port of one of my old scripts; then allow me to take this opportunity to give everyone permission to use ALL of my old scripts in any way they see fit. Including commercial projects. You may ignore any and all terms of use I may have listed previously.

    For this script specifically, you'll still need to ask Deathsia and Fogomax for permission first though, as they are collaborators on bringing you this version.

    Quick question but how come the config file isn't finding the audio file? I did everything right in the configuration plugin but somehow there's an error saying the file isn't there or rather, the audio isn't there
