So I have poltergeist in my game, which I am using animations for, I call these animations with events. But animations can only be anchored to characters. I would like to anchor them to a specific map (not screen) coordinates. Game_CharacterBase.requestAnimation doesn't seem to allow for this. Is their away for this to happen via the script event. Or do I have to write a custom script for this. I am unsure at this point. The reason I can't anchor it to the actor is cause the actor can move during the animation. As for the event. It moves as well, serving as a collision detector with the player.
