Hello, I've created several custom art that can be used as a "summon" or special skill on GIMP.

At the moment, they are not able to be in the game as .gif.

I tried adding them in as animations with the 192x192 cell grid, but it just didn't turn out the way I would like.

I learned you need a .mp4 file for mobile devices and a .webm for others for a video file to be played in the game.

What I'm trying to do is figure out how to get my files into the game as a video; since with GIMP I can't export my files as those extensions/types.

Maybe there is another file type I can use that I'm not aware of?

I'm a little lost. You want to take gif's and import them into Rpg Maker? Or you want to take frames that you've made in Gimp and put those together in a video file to use inside of Rpg Maker?

Rpg Maker can read .png sprite sheets with three frames of animation per pose, that Gimp can easily make. You can also find a lot of free utilities to bind the frame images into a video if that's what you're wanting instead. Just need to know exact what you are wanting to do with them to direct you on where/how to get it done.

Yes. I created my frames of "animation" on gimp. I would like to put them as a video into the game so that they're playable.

I am familiar with the 3 frames of animation, etc. I already am doing that with my battle sprites.

You mentioned something about "free utilities to bind the frame images into a video". As long as that allows me to use a format compatible with rpg maker, to add in my "summons", etc. then yes that's what I would like to do.

Just so I'm clear, you have sprites (tons of them) that you want to put together so that you can play a video file inside of rpg maker? Or do you have a spritesheet that's arranged with three frames of animation per pose that you want to have displayed? I'm not sure we're talking about the same things here. If you could give me a visual example of what you have, it might help to clear things up. And we're assuming that whatever you want to do isn't covered in this topic, right?

Edit: Or this topic.

And if I'm completely off base here, if you do actually want a video, you have enough pictures (30 or more per second) to make that video?

Edit 2: If you already have a gif file btw, you could just convert it with a webpage like this one.

I created several animations using 25 or more frames that are gifs. Yes I can use a website like the one you provided, but was wondering if there's another way to convert them besides using a website like that.

I don't know of a way to play more than three frames of animation from a spritesheet without a plugin, and I've never used the plugins that give you extra frames. Maybe something like this plugin is what you want. Other than that, I guess I can't be of any help.

You're going to need an animation plugin, have you tried any of the available ones? Using gifs is a waste of time... use a spritesheet.
