Hi, simple question here.

Is there a way to automatically add all the cells in each frame when you make an animation in the database? Or do you HAVE to make each one yourself? I couldn't find anything in the help file and this looks like something that should be included in the program. Something like 16 cells, 16 frames, assign cell 1 to frame 1, cell 2 to frame 2, and so.

Thanks.

It basically has to be done by hand.  With the exception of what is on the right hand side of the frame, there is is nothing automated.

If you want a simple progression animation, you can use tweening, once you have established the first cell and the final one, but for anything more complex, then it's cell by cell, frame by frame.

Yep, I just wanted to be sure before adding the custom animations doing 3000 clicks that there was no other way to do it.

Thanks.

Oh I actually found how to do it, this guy made a tutorial here.

(Using a 25 frame animation) I have to set the maximum frames to 25, set the first cell in the first frame, last cell in the last frame, click Tweening and configurate it for 25 cells and 25 frames.

That's the easy way, instead of having to set every frame individually.

That's what I was talking about in my post when I mentioned tweening.

Be aware, however, that it is pure straight line stuff.  Suppose, for example your cell starts at 100% zoom and you want it to end at 200% zoom.  That's fine with tweening, it will do it.  But if you want it to start at 100%, reach maximum size at, say, frame #13 and then reduce again to 100%, you can't do that in one go.  You would have to apply tweening for frames 1-13 and then again from 13-25.  Anything more variable, which you would probably want fairly often, you would have to adjust zoom individually.

The same thing would apply with opacity.  And if you want cells to appear and disappear at different points, or in variable places, then tweening cannot really help you at all.

I know, I'll do that if I have to.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
