Hi, I'm creating a small game for the Indie Game Maker contest, but I'm having kind of a strange problem. I'm using a font that's installed on my computer but not my laptop, so when I try to playtest my game on my laptop there's no font shown at all. Now, I know I could just install the font on my laptop and be good to go but other people who play my game will then have to do the same thing. So my question is this: is there a way to make the game player look for the font in it's own game folder so that I can package the font in with my game? Basically, I want the player to just have to download, extract, and then run the game without any extra fuss. Thanks!

Simply put the font file in a Fonts folder inside your game folder...

EDIT: oops... this is XP, thought it was ace... you can still try to do it though and see if it works

lol. I actually found an VX Ace thread related to this while searching for an answer, so of course I tried it thinking it might work... Sadly, it did not.

With enough Googling, I found a script that does what I'm looking for. You can close this thread.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
