So I had the idea of a staves for my mages where each staff buffed its respective element on the attack side.  I see how to buff the actor to be resistant to the specified element, but what I'm looking for is essentially the reverse.

Example:

Jeff has the skill "Blizzard" which does 10 damage to bats normally.

Jeff equips "Ice Staff", giving him a 50% Ice element buff.

Jeff's "Blizzard" skill now does 15 damage to bats.

Is there a way to do this and I'm just completely missing it?

RMMV
Unfortunately, this requires a plugin to implement as you want it. Luckily, Yanfly has one just for this occasion. It is also very simple to use.

(This requires you to install his main Core plugins FIRST, but it is a very easy thing to do... and I am sure you will want more of his plugins in the future, they are great.)

How to install YEP plugins:

Once installed, you put the following text into the "Note" field of the weapon, armor, actor, etc.

<Element Amplify x: +y%>

Lets say your "Blizzard Staff" uses your "Ice" element (Must be exactly as your database names it as an element).

<Element Amplify Ice: +25%>

...

The plugin also has many other element manipulations... For example, you could do this for a complicated "ice" weapon:

<Element Absorb: Ice>

<Element Amplify Ice: +30%>

<Element Amplify Fire: -100%>

...

Good luck, hope this helped. If you need any help do respond or PM. : )

This sounds like it will be perfect, I hadn't even thought about debuffing the "opposite" elements, that's a great idea!  Much appreciated, I can't get over how powerful this program is.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
