Hi, I've gave RPG MAKER a first try just to see how it is, because i'm hella interested in making games. So, i decided to download RPG MAKER VX ACE lite since it's free, though with limitations i'm sure i can work with it.

I have a lot of problems, I is noob.

How do i add furniture like bed, tiles and much more? I don't see it... should i download some and where do i put it? And how do i do it?

How do i change the music for the doors and titlescreen? Where can i download it?

And lastly, how can i change the font and color for the text bubble.

Thank you if you're going to answer these questions, i appreciate it so much for you to tolerate my noobishness.

THANKS :3

I suggest you take a look at the help file (F1 in the editor) and look at the Tutorials forum for some basic how-tos.

If you don't see furniture, you may not be looking on the correct tileset tab, or you may be using a tileset that has no furniture. Make sure your map is set up to use the Indoor tileset.

Changing audio and title screen is all in the System tab.

I'm not sure of the limitations of Lite, so I shall just say what you do with the full version, and hope that it's the same.

As you say you are such a noob, I shall explain everything, just in case there's some step you don't know.

On the top menu bar, select database, then Tilesets

Select interior, and you will see the tilesheet Inside_B.  That already has furniture on it, including beds.  If you want more than that, then do the following.

If you have found a tile sheet that you want to use just as it is, then download it to your computer.

From the menu bar select Resource Manager

Select Graphics/Tilesets from the list on the left.

Select Import and navigate to the tile sheet you want, click OK and it will then put that tile sheet in the correct place.

You can either add it as tile sheet E to the Interior tileset, or make up a new one to use.

This method of importing is the same for all resources, so that is how you would add music, sound effects and so on.  Just make sure you choose the correct destination folder from the list on the left.

To change the music for the title screen, go to the Systems tab in the database. left hand column, select Title and then select the music you want from what you have got installed.

To change the sound effect for the doors (note, this is in the sound effects folder Audio/SE) find the sound effect you want. You must name it Move.  Import it into the SE folder and that will then become the sound effect for all doors.

Changing the font and colour of the text bubble might be a bit more tricky as I do that using a script, and Lite doesn't allow custom scripts.

EDIT

Here is the link to Andar's excellent compilation of information for those new to Ace.  Can I strongly urge you to look through it and follow the tutorials etc., and spending time doing that now will save you a ton of time and frustration down the line.

Please do not quote a post when it's right above yours - especially such a large wall of text. If you MUST quote, remove the parts you are not referencing in your reply. Or just type your reply without posting.

There is no button needed to enable any tile or tileset, the X and O have to do with passability and not wether the tile appears on the map.
Please work through the tutorials until you know how to select and use a tileset - the link in my signature is a tutorial designed to allow you to use RM as fast as possible. But even that takes several days to several weeks depending on your available time.
