I want to add an image to the map, in this case it being arrowkeys to show how the character moves, the issue is that by doing the show picture, it moves with the screen instead of staying put. i'm trying to add this into my tutorial so it can show people how to move their character.

pictures are shown on top of the screen, so they'll always move "with the screen" as opposed to "with the map"
if you want to show another screen on top the map as you would an item window or a skill window, then you need something more complex.

by default, pictures appear on top of everything, so, if the character (who controls the camera) moves, everything on top of that moves.

you can, as a makeshift solution, make an animation, which *will* tie to a character, and will stay on the map.
it *would* stay on screen long enough to pass as something else, but it wouldn't look as good, or have any flexibility.
it'll just appear and disappear, but I'm not sure what else you could do while that is on screen.

This can be achieved easily with a plugin, i use Moghunter Picture effects and works really well, you just need to use a plugin command to specify where do you want the picture to stay, it can be a coordinate or an event.

what i want is a picture to stay at a certain point on the map itself, even if u move away from it. sorta like a painting on a wall for example.

My bad. I'll try to refrain from doing so in the future.

No idea if there is a previous version for ace, but yes there is one for MV and can be used for commercial projects.

The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such?
