Is it legal to add iTunes music you have purchased and downloaded to your RPG Maker game, if your game is free to download and play, if you want to?

only if the music purchased give you the right to re-distribute it - which means that in 99,999% of all cases iTunes music can't be used for anything but personal listening (not even public playing).
You'll need to check the EULA and TOS of a specific music for this.

Save sources for music are for example the files available in this sites shop (because they are intended to be used in games after purchasing).

It doesn't matter if you give your game away for free or sell it - both cases are only allowed if you have the correct licence for the music. search for "royalty-free" music if you are looking outside specific stores.

Thank you. I kind of figured you would need some sort of permission to use other peoples music in your game.
