Adding skill types during live gameplay?

What I would like to know is how to add a new skill type to an actor during gameplay via an event.


Like for example:  Chris finds a magic sword and unlocks the magic skill type which was not accessible or visible before because it was not added to them.


Now that they found the sword, the skill type is permanently unlocked and accessible to them.


There was a script in VX Ace that allowed you to easily add these features via script call but I'm hoping there's an easier method now with MV that doesn't require a plugin to achieve this.


anyone know how to do this?

There is no way to dinamically add/remove traits. You can add the trait with states, but you would still need plugins to make the state not be removed upon death.
A plugin that might be a solution:





AddTrait actor X AddSkillType Y


X = actor Id.


Y = skill type Id.

I know this is an old post, but in case anyone passes by with the same question:
The way to do this is create an additional Class (with the same name) that has the skill type you want to add. The character's class can be changed through any event and at any time.

For the benefit of any future reader, your suggestion could well raise other problems, as changing a class will often cause other stats to change.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:

Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
