Hello people
for my current project I want to create a class that works by building power during battle in tiers. The idea goes as follows -
[*]In Fire the mage either casts a fire spell or builds the tier higher with Heatwave which gives the skill Fire Blast which is much stronger than Fireball which is the teir 1 skill
Here is my problem, no matter what he's going to get Fire Blast at any level because it's added by a skills usuage but I would like him to learn this skill in the level list but still only be usuable during Heatwave and not when the player first casts Fire.
If I didn't explain my issue right let me know. I tyoed with the idea of adding the ability through books but that was still useless as he would obtain Fire Blast from the get-go which, like i said, is not what I need to happen. Is there a way to lock skills until they reach a certain level?

- At the beggining of battle player casts either Fire or Ice which adds a buff to the player
Ice is for making this mage more tanky but removes the ability to cast Fire
- Fire makes the mage more powerful but removes the ability to cast Ice
