Addons don't seem to work

First of all, Im very sorry  for the dumb nature of this question, I understand most of RPG maker users are programming geeks with lots of knowledge on programming, but Im just a nerdy guy with imagination who likes RPGs, so I really need some help with addons.


There are no tutorials for this, no questions on other forums, as this seems to be a common sense thing, again I can only stress how embarassing this is, but I have to ask.


Many addons have an option to toggle "true" or "false", now what would make an addon not work even if set on true? does that mean depending on the addon I might have to edit the main body of the main script as well?


Im seriously not trolling, just havent been able to use correctly, or activate at all one single addon.


EDIT: Ok I figured one addon, had to edit stuff kinda guessing what the scripter meant, but still it isnt clear as Im seeing that some addons require you to edit certain lines, and to know what do they do, and BTW I just crashed the game by editing something I shouldnt have...got excited my other attempt worked...


Well I guess that for most addons their creators are around right? would have to ask them directly to explain what they mean on their setup comments, but for a script dummy like me.... lol

Do you mean plugins? Can you take a screenshot of it for me please?

I suggest you follow the link "how to use a script" in my signature, that explains every option that might have been used by a specific script (few will use everything there, but when using different scripts you'll encounter every option sooner or later)
