I want to use a common event to create a cinematic that takes place on different maps, but the "adjust event position" command doesn't work for some reason and I can't find any guides explaining how to use it.

PS: I know that I have to move the events by ID

Why not just black out the screen, turn your character transparent, then use a transfer event to go to the new map for the cinematic? Once the event is done, just transfer back to the previous map, making sure to remove your character's transparency before the fade in.

You can even record the character's previous map coordinates in variables before the start of the event if you want them to reappear at the same spot they were before the scene.

I don't know if I understood this correctly but, you want to set a cinematic that is set on different maps, correct? In this case, it would be best if you set an event in each of these maps and make the player invisible "set movement route -> change opacity = ON" and transfer the player to the map of the cutscene. Then, you play it and later return the player back to where they were and makes them visible again. My suggestion is to maunually set each event individually instead of using common events but, that's ust my preference.

Ahh yes... I would advice you to copy paste your on map cutscene event rather than using a common event. It just doesn't work. Even if you put the right IDs into the commoon event and keep them consistent on those various maps, it's not going to work.

(I ran into this recently, can't even play an animation on an event like that. No idea why the command even exists if it doesn't work, but that's just RM for you.)

If it's the same cutscene, it's the same amount of work eventing it on one map and just copying the event over, so long as you keep the event IDs the same on each of them.

With this map, I tried to emulate a Gameboy Color/Advance style.
Hacknet's a hypocritical game.
It's a game about hacking... that's been made in Net framework and the code was left unobfuscated.
So it's a game about hacking that's vulnerable to hacking.
The irony. :p
