In that case, make sure the map you are using those script calls in have a defined climate, otherwise you won't see any changes until you enter a map with the changed climate.

Love the idea. However I'm hoping that these 2 small things can be done.

1. Would it be possible to have a demo for this script?

2. Is it possible to have a fog like climate without using Parallax pictures?

P.S in your intro you say this script is only for freeware unless they arrange something with you then in your thanks and credit it seems like you've left it as a template or something and has your standard '-free to use in commercial and non commercial games with credit'. Just thought I'd let you know cos your awesome

I'll look into creating a demo for this, possibly after I fix it up some. Probably this week.

Ah thanks, I missed that!


Can use a looping common event to check if it's raining or snowing and increase a variable which acts as a coldnessmemometer.

Awesome, and what about the fog like climate?

Would that be possible to be done without Parallax pictures or does it have to have Parallax pictures and will you be adding that in?

I cant belive i keep have to come up and ask these very noobish questions, but since i put this script in it just wont work, i use the map porperties notes and put this in: Climate_Control.change_weather:)rain)

But no matter what it wont work, I use khas lights but they dont seam to interfere cause when i pulled it out it still didint work.

I am sorry to keep coming up with these noobish problems.

OH ok ty, somhow i missread the manual i swear it said put the comman into the map property notes, anyways, now i`m getting an error:

Script: "Game Interpreter" line 1411: type error occured Can`t convert false into Integer

Thats a base game script so i suppose i adjusted a setting in your script right? Or is it because i set the veent to autorun?(tried parralel too no difference)

EDIT: In fact i`m getting more than just this error, the other error is in  your script Line 127:NoMethoodError undefined methood `current weather` for nil:NilClass, now this whould be my mistake i guess, i gte this when i set C= anything bigger than 1.

SOLVED, by not being useless and readinf the whole topic....

IS there a way to zone weather? my world map is 500x500 and gose from north pole down to the equator so i have the problem of rain in the desert, and in the mountains up north, due to the size of the map using event tuch triggered weather change whould require an absurd amount of events i was thinkling maybe zones can be used to achive the weather/climate restrictions? can it be achived using per say a contorll event with conditional triggers? (btw my above post is solved, i used my brain and read through the twhole topic :S)

It's on my list to rework and add all the features I wanted to to this script, so I'll include that on the list. For when I get around to this.

Thank you for the scripts Vlue! I keep getting an error when my game starts: SystemStackError occurred. stack level too deep. I have only been using RPG Maker for a couple of days so I may have placed the script in the wrong spot or some other type of noob error. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again!

Try rearranging the scripts... that error indicates that a certain method might have been aliased too many times or something... rearranging sometimes fixes it

Thank you for the advice adiktuzmiko. I am not sure what happened though, I opened up my game to make the changes but I ran the test first and I did not get the error... In my case better lucky than skilled I guess :) Thank you again.

EDIT: So much for lucky. Ran it again and the error came back. Swapped it with the Day/Night script but still get the error.

EDIT: So I removed the Day/Night script and now it seems to be working fine.

At the time of my post I was using your advanced climate script and basic game time + night/day scripts. I deleted the basic game time and started using your advanced game time. I have not received an error since. I have noticed though that the weather does not change. I realize that it is random so I may just not have given it enough time yet. Thank you again for these amazing scripts Vlue!

Hi i have a little question.

In my game i have a little farming event, so i want to make impossible plant a seed in winter, but your script call return the name of the season and not a number so i don't know ho to set a conditional branch to do this.

If exist a script call that return the number of a season i can set a conditional branch than when the variable (for exemple 0003:season) is 3 (the number of the season) i cannot plant anything

Ther a way to insert the number of the season in a variable?

Sorry ofr my bad english, but even if i read and understand well, i don't speak it very often.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
