I apologize right now if something like this exists or I am in the wrong forum. Also: This request is concerning RPGMaker MV.

While working on my project, I realized I might want some way of keeping the players in line with the story I have. Like for example; if they haven't played for a while, load up their save, and forget what the heck they were doing. Now, I realize this could also be done with say a Quest Book; but I would also like the ability to unlock older diary/log pages pre-dating the current story: adding to the narrative.

Ideally, this would be part of the main menu; but I am open to making it a common event item. The issue I'm having with the idea is figuring out how to make the text appear relating to the current events (not showing the diary as a whole, but letting the entries fill as the story goes).

Please and thank you,

Rizzle

My first thought is using a variable that increases as the story progresses, and then having conditional branches which shows the text accordingly.

I think Yanfly's main menu manager plugin makes you able to add your own window to the main menu.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
