Figured I should make a photo thread and share some of my pictures from work with you all.

I work full-time at a dog daycare/boarding facility.
People bring their dogs in while they are away at work, like daycare for children.
They get to socialize with other dogs, burn off a bunch of energy, and it keeps them from destroying their homes or forcing them to lock their dog in a cage all day.
They also bring their dogs for boarding, where the dog stays overnight at our facility. Sometimes people have things like business trips, school functions, sporting events, vacations, music festivals, allergic relatives visiting, etc. etc. and their dog can't come with, so they bring them to us.

Jewel, one of my manager's dogs. She loves to smile haha

Fred, one of our regulars. He is a Golden Doodle
Boo. This picture is actually from my parents' home. This is their Chocolate Lab.
Max, with his face covered in snow. Max is a West Highland White Terrier (or "Westie" for short)
Daisy Dogg, the Boxer. She looooovvvveeeesssss to lick faces haha
Heidi the German Shepherd, lounging in one of the playrooms
Emma, one of the dogs I see the most. A red Golden Retriever.
Belle, an Australian Shepherd Mix. She jumped up on me to say "Hi!"
Tucker the Springer Spaniel, getting ready for a nap in my lap (from summer of last year)
Bo the Australian Shepherd....this dog is a character!
Bo, again, being SASSY!! I love this picture haha
Ozzy, one of my co-workers' dogs. He is an old, tough S.O.B.  He survived Hurricane Katrina and was found swimming around with a broken jaw.
One of my co-workers with a few dogs. Obi is the gigantic +150 lbs. English Mastiff that you see. Guiness is a cattledog, he is the little guy up front, and you can see Emma hiding in the back.
Another picture from my parents' home on Christmas. This is my sister's dog Linus (or Lettuce if you ask my sister). He is a Basset Hound and Golden Retriever mix o_O
Sushi the Shiba Inu. We have an apartment upstairs, the lady up there has 3 kitties and 2 Shiba Inus. I'll post 2 more pics of this wild man after this one.
Sushi, again
Sushi, one more time! You can see Mei Lin, the other Shiba Inu, in the background.
Another Golden Retriever
Buddy the Poodle, getting his butt scratched
I guess that's enough for today :p I'll post more in the future :D

Awwww, I love Shibas. :3

I'll admit, I prefer cats in general (and i have some... issues with German Shepherds due to an... incident in my formative years), but dogs're cozy, too - and Obi just looks like a walking ton of glompage waiting to happen there. ;)

Alas, I no can haz kitty - contractual restrictions for my humble basement dwelling.
(It's a nice apartment, really - but the landlady's got a few things she insists on, such as no smoking and no pets. Which is reasonable enough, since she lives upstairs...)

I love what I do, but I don't make very much above minimum wage.

The fun stuff is cleaning up all manners of body fluids, administering medications, time management for playgroups when there are a lot of naughty dogs that have to be separated, wrangling some of these guys can be a real pain in the ass, all the sweeping/mopping/vacuuming, yard work(eg pulling weeds, shoveling, mowing), tryout dogs(first day), reservations for daycare/boarding/grooming, emergency response(eg fights, seizures).....not all fun and games, but I love it.

We have a lot of regulars which makes everything a bit easier. I know a lot of these dogs very well and know which dogs will get along and what their special needs are. I have most of their first and last names and how much food they eat memorized xD

They really need to up the minimum wage in the US, its criminally low. Between the cost of living increases and inflation, and the lack of increase in minimum wage, its just brutal for anyone, even working fulltime to make it now unless they have a job paying at least +30-40% the current minimum wage, unless they live in a place that just costs nothing, or have several roommates.

When minimum wage was first set, it was a livable amount of money. Now its just crap. (I mean, its fine for a teenager still living with their parents working part time, but once you are talking an adult, there needs to be a change somewhere in the system.)

Yup, the big problem was a cultural/societal shift in this country during the 1960s. This is when the idea was put into the minds of Americans that children should be leaving the house after they turn 18 and graduate. Why push them out at 18? Because they have very little real world experience and are generally naive to how the real world works. This means they can be taken advantage of, it means more utility bills, it means more taxes, it means more money spent on home goods(furniture, appliances, cookware, etc), it means a bunch more money being spent instead of being saved and invested. How much could you save if you lived with your parents, grandparents, siblings, etc in a large house with everyone chipping in....versus everyone having to pay for everything on their own??? and god forbid they get sick or injured and miss work...they'll fall behind on their bills and be screwed....especially with how poorly most folks are paid. The same people that pushed this idea want you on government handouts because they are guaranteed the money from  the government (eg every time someone gets an "Obama phone", Carlos Slim gets another $10). I know folks who "work" in mills/factories that get paid $15-20 an hour to do 1-3 minutes worth of work every hour and complain they don't get paid enough....then I look at my own situation and want to beat some sense into them because I work my ass off. Even when I worked at Jimmy Johns I was capped at $7.65 an hour despite being able to make $1000 in orders in an hour, with one other person on my makeline, without mistakes. I quit there when they cut my hours by 45% and gave some of my hours to someone who had no-call-no-showed THREE SATURDAYS IN A ROW.....America F% YEAH!!!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
